Greg Raszewski, Operations Specialist, Equipment Finance

How long have you been working at Apex?

I have been at Apex since November of 2024, so it is coming up on my one-year anniversary which is exciting!

Can you tell us about your experience working at Apex Commercial Capital?

My experience working at Apex, to sum it up, has been extremely positive and rewarding. Since my first day, everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. I enjoy the small company feeling because it gives you the opportunity to really get to know and bond with your co-workers, which creates a positive work environment. This makes me feel as if I have been a part of the company and the Equipment Finance department for much longer than 11 months. Reflecting on my time here, it is great to think about where I started, where I am at now in my position, and how much I have learned. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with Apex.  

Tell us about your role and responsibilities as an Operations Specialist for the Equipment Finance line.

My main responsibility as an Operations Specialist is to ensure accuracy with all our equipment finance deals from the moment we get the documentation request, to then gather and review supporting documents throughout the deal, and finally, to confirm everything is correct and ready to be reviewed by our funding department. It requires a lot of attention to detail and being thorough, which I believe are strong skills of mine that I get to enhance daily.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about my job is without a doubt knowing that my work is appreciated and that every day I get to see the reward of my work with deals being successfully funded. Knowing that I make an impact when I come in to work every day is extremely fulfilling and makes me take pride in what I do. This is especially true when working on more complex deals that finally get funded. That is a good feeling for sure.

What would you say is your favorite thing about working at Apex Commercial Capital in particular?

To reiterate, my favorite thing about working at Apex is definitely how small the company is compared to others. It is refreshing to see the same faces daily and have that sense of familiarity. I really appreciate the collaboration between different departments and working together to achieve the same goal. That is something that I did not experience in my last job which is why I value it greatly here at Apex.

What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work?

My favorite things to do outside of work would be enjoying time spent with my friends. I have had the same group of friends since childhood, and I think that is something special that most people do not get to experience. I also really enjoy going to concerts and discovering new bands to listen to from doing so. Anywhere there is live music is always a good time! Other than that, I am usually spending most of my time at the skatepark.
